kapampangan development foundation

Dear Sylvia

Yesterday, friday, may 8 and today, saturday, may 9, 2009, I witnessed successful surgery of 60 cataract patients held in Bacolor at the Dr V. Datu Medical Clinic. I understand, by tomorrow the goal for 100 patients will have been reached.

"I was half-blind yesterday and today I can see!" This is the jubilant cry of one patient.

This medical mission spearheaded by KDF = Kapampangan Development Foundation is doing a miraculous job.
You solicited help from us, we your classmates are responding. We raised PHP 20,000 as the first batch of classmates class 66 and presented the check to Pip Villanueva. We expect the 2d, 3d and 4th batches of classmates to heed your call.

In the spirit of goodwill, friendship and love, we remain
Evelyn Mercado, Aurora Santos, Teresita de Leon, Ana Paras, Felicidad Dizon, Lucill Romero, Aida Calma, Corazon Crisostomo, Elena Gueco, Paulina Pamintuan and Pomona Pamintuan

Dear Mona,

Thank you so much for this blog. Today, after having done more than 7-00 patients in the last one year, we screened 200 patients for our forthcoming Feb 18 cataract medical mission which we will again be held at the JADMC, the Jesus A datu Medical Center (JADMC).

The renovation of the ER, Pharmacy and the Operation Rooms and the construction of the ramp was started last Saturday. We expect to finish the renovations on February 12, 2010.

Mona we also expect to get the donated equipment by the second quarter of this year. We will have our own laser and phaeco machines.

Thanks so much for the donation. Yesterday, I went to see Dra Patria Punzalan. She has agreed to help in the maternity clinic that we will set up in the JADMC. I am really excited that our classmates are helping out and making teh KDF their venue for their social work. Please organize a new year re union. patria is in touch with so many of our classmates.

see u soon? sylvia
